Raoul (from Phantom of the Opera)
Raoul fan art, Phantom of the Opera, pencil sketch

Sheesh, this guy looks grim and sinister! Honestly, I didn't mean Raoul to look this way! When I was sketching him he looked far more friendly. Then something went amiss. I'm not sure how.

This drawing is from my series of sketches inspired by "The Phantom of the Opera" (main influences are the 2004 Andrew Lloyd Webber film with Gerard Butler and Patrick Wilson, and the 1990 TV movie with Charles Dance and Burt Lancaster). I will probably edit this portrait a little more to give him a friendlier look, because honestly, I have nothing against Raoul at all. Very likely I'll draw some more Raoul sketches along the way too. Hopefully they all won't look so villainous. Drawn in pencil.
